OPEN SOURCE seems to be the flavor of the week, this time we look at INKSCAPE.org this is another quality drawing program that goes hand in hand with Open Office and Open Clipart, to give you an extra hand in productivity, this is from thier home page:

We all need fonts from time to time, especially when they are FREE, you may have a design job or particular greeting card project you need to have a new font for and it needs to something more than the everyday fonts you get with your PC. This is a place you can find all those really cool fonts. I've found several to use in my projects and more that will come in handy. You can download the entire list of fonts in a PDF file or just search the catagories or alphabetically or by designer and even by popularity! I hope you've had a great Thanksgiving holiday and didn't get too stuffed, I'm going to be eatin' Turkey sandwiches for a few weeks I think! Even though I now reside in England, we still 'Give Thanks' and I want to say thanks for reading this blog and I hope you find it worthwhile.

Well every once in a blue moon something comes around to "SHAKE-UP" the I.T. world and this is one of those times!
We've been asking for a 3D desktop environment for age and now Java.net has come to the rescue of all us bored desktop users.
The software is called "Looking Glass" and it is absolutely fantastic! If you are at all interested in taking a look into the future, you absolutely must download the Live-CD offered on their website, it is already stored as an ISO file so all you have to do after downloading it is burn it to a CD. Once you got it on a CD, just slide it in and boot from the CD, I was thinking they must have read my mind, it is just how I imagined it to be, but better!!
This is the FUTURE.
